SanchiConnect, India’s leading deeptech enablement network, has signed a strategic partnership with the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT) to accelerate the growth of deeptech startups across the state. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, underscoring Tamil Nadu’s commitment to building a decentralized and inclusive innovation ecosystem.
The partnership will create structured, long-term programs for deeptech founders, offering access to mentorship, industry networks, markets, and investors from the SanchiConnect ecosystem. Beyond metro hubs, the initiative will strengthen regional innovation capacity, supporting entrepreneurs in technology validation, commercialization readiness, and scalable growth.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sunil Shekhawat, Co-Founder and CEO of SanchiConnect, said:
“This partnership allows us to take structured deeptech enablement into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where talent is abundant but access to markets and mentorship is limited. Together, we aim to build a sustainable pipeline of globally competitive startups.”
Manoj Agarwal, Managing Partner at Seafund, added:
“This MoU is a crucial step in unlocking deeptech potential from smaller towns and enabling startups to build for national and global markets.”
Through this initiative, startups will gain exposure to national and international opportunities, moving from prototype development to enterprise adoption and investment readiness. The program will also focus on nurturing innovation talent within Tamil Nadu, empowering local entrepreneurs to address challenges in climate tech, mobility, healthtech, advanced manufacturing, and emerging digital technologies.
This partnership positions Tamil Nadu as a pioneer in decentralized deeptech innovation, ensuring that entrepreneurial growth extends beyond metros and into India’s emerging cities.
