The Bengaluru development sets new sustainability benchmarks while integrating work, learning, and nature-first living.

Alembic City Secures Global Tech Lease, Welcomes Liverpool University Campus

Alembic City, the flagship integrated urban campus by Alembic Real Estate in Whitefield, Bengaluru, has announced a series of landmark milestones. A global technology giant has leased 2.4 million sq. ft. of office space, while the University of Liverpool prepares to open its first international campus within the development. Additionally, the launch of “Cloud Forest” introduces a nature-first residential experience, reinforcing Alembic City’s vision of holistic, sustainable living.

The strategic lease highlights the tech major’s focus on scalable growth, talent-centric workplaces, and environmental responsibility, validating Alembic City’s positioning as one of India’s most future-ready destinations for global enterprises.

Sustainability Benchmarks

Tower A, the new workspace, is USGBC LEED® Platinum and WELL Certified, designed to global sustainability standards. Key highlights include:

  • 32.79 acres of integrated green spaces

  • 4.5 km of pedestrian and cycling pathways for car-free mobility

  • 6.5 million litres of annual water conservation through reuse and recharge systems

  • Preservation of 4,800 mature trees, including 500 integrated into parking design

  • Seamless connectivity to metro, bus, and railway networks

Alembic City has also completed a RICS-aligned Whole Life Carbon (WLC) assessment, reporting an embodied carbon intensity of 751 kg CO₂e/sqm, significantly outperforming global benchmarks of 1200 set for 2030. Operational energy use stands at 67 kWh/sqm per year, far below global office averages of 160 and ahead of 2030 targets of 90.

A Holistic Urban Ecosystem

With enterprises, education, and residential living integrated into one campus, Alembic City is redefining Bengaluru’s urban landscape. The addition of the University of Liverpool’s international campus and the Cloud Forest residential launch further strengthens its identity as a walkable, sustainable, and future-ready urban hub.
