Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated Electrotherm Park, a newly developed 11,600 sq. mt. public garden in South Bopal. The project, executed under PPP mode by Electrotherm (India) Ltd in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing public infrastructure and environmentally responsible urban growth.
Designed as a modern, eco-friendly urban oasis, the park draws inspiration from the natural flow of a river, weaving together interconnected spaces for leisure, fitness, and community engagement. The entry plaza, featuring a fountain and signature sculpture, sets the tone for a thoughtfully curated landscape blending aesthetics with public utility.
Key highlights include:
-
A gently flowing water channel alongside the jogging track
-
Two dedicated children’s play zones for toddlers and older kids
-
A pet park, open-air gym, and traditional-games corner
-
Advanced seating pavilions accessible to all age groups
Mr. Suraj Bhandari, Managing Director, Electrotherm (India) Ltd, said: “Electrotherm Park is designed to inspire healthier lifestyles while celebrating nature within an urban setting. We are proud to partner with AMC in shaping a greener, more vibrant Ahmedabad.”
The park introduces over 22,800 plants, including 21 species of large trees, 14 fruit tree varieties, and diverse flowering plants. By transforming barren land, it creates a fresh micro-climate, enriches biodiversity, and offers children curated orchard zones to learn about agriculture.
Executed under the leadership of Mr. Suraj Bhandari, with close involvement from Mr. Sanjay Joshi, Group VP HR & Admin, and strategic guidance from Mr. Shailesh Bhandari, Executive Vice Chairman, the project stands as a symbol of forward-looking urban design, sustainability, and community well-being.
